Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Thomas embarked on an impressive academic journey that laid the foundation for his career. Education: Thomas completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Literature at Canisius College in 1997. They continued their academic pursuit at the University at Buffalo, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Nutrition Science in the years 2008-2012. Awards and Acknowledgments: Throughout his academic and professional journey, Thomas received numerous accolades, including the ESS Faculty of the Year award in 2015-2016 and 2020-2021. He was also honored with the Annette Rachman Scholarship in 2011 and 2012 for exceptional contributions to his field. Research and Teaching Experience: Thomas's passion for research is evident through his past involvement in various studies, including projects related to physical activity in children, stress reactivity, and more. His extensive teaching experience spans multiple institutions, where he has shared his knowledge and expertise with students in the fields of exercise and sports studies, strength training, and health care studies. He holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Health Policy and Health Education from ¿ì»îÓ°Ôº, with a dissertation on "Physical activity feedback and motivation in undergraduate college students." He has also earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Health and Human Performance from Canisius University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Athletic Training (Cum Laude) from the State University of New York at Cortland. Dr. Hamilton has an extensive background in education and has been involved in various roles at ¿ì»îÓ°Ôº. He has taught a range of courses related to athletic injuries, biomechanics, exercise prescription, and medical terminology. Dr. Hamilton has been actively involved in research and has published in academic journals, primarily focusing on topics related to sports injuries, physical activity feedback, and motivation. He has also been a reviewer for academic journals in the fields of athletic training and sports health care. In addition to his academic and research work, Dr. Hamilton has been involved in community outreach and volunteer activities. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lake View Athletics and mentoring students interested in health care professions. He holds various certifications and memberships, including being a certified Athletic Trainer (NATABOC) and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
